LQS installs Amazon’s automatic lockers in Spain.
Customers will be able to withdraw they’re purchases in a simple and secure way from the new lockers, which the e-commerce giant has trusted LQS for its installation, in over 120 points in 30 spanish cities. Specifically, they have been distributed in Repsol gas stations, DIA supermarkets, Telepizza restaurants, shopping centers managed by Merlín and Unibail and OhMyBox storage romos. It will no longer be necessary for the order be sent to your residence or workplace. Now you can choose for it to be sent to the collection point of your choice to pick it up whenever it suits you.
The operation is simple. Once the user has completed his purchase through Amazon.es, he can select a box office to pick up his order and schedule. It is possible to consult the availability of the Amazon lockers closest to our address during the processing of the order. Depending on the Amazon locker chosen and the product’s availability and location, the shipping options are shipping in 1 day and standard shipping. These shipping options are free for members of Amazon Prime. If you are not a member of Amazon Prime and the order amount is under €29, the rates corresponding to the selected shipping method will be applied.
If a specific collection point could not be selected it means that there shall be no to shipping because the order does not meet the requirements in terms of dimensions, category, amount or availability of the product. At the time the package arrives at the “locker” the customer receives an email with an unique code as well as the address and schedule of the locker. Lockers located in gas stations will be open 24 hours a day while those installed in pizzerias or shopping centers are bound to the established business hours.
In order to open the locker, it will only be necessary to introduce the code manually or scan the bar code. Users have three business days since the momento when they receive the notification to pick up their purchases. After this period, the purchases will be handed back to Amazon and the user will receive a full reimbursement.
